RATHA SAPTHAMI

Dear S E L F, The only thing that created this creation , maintains in a regular fashion is nothing but ENERGY the origin of which is SUN GOD/GODESS which came to create everything without any exception including TIME, days etc and in fact all including 33 crores of Gods also originated from ADTHYA-SUN.

January 30 is RADHA SAPTAMI, THE DAY SUN CAME TO KEEP ALL OF US IN GOOD HEALTH TO GET THE MISSION OF THIS LIFE NAMELY SALVATION WITHOUT DEATH OR BIRTH.

In ANDHRA PRADESH, Ratha Saptami is also celebrated as Kodalla Panduga that is as a festival for the daughters-in-law of the house. The daughters-in-law are gifted with new dress and a sweet is offered along with a festive meal for the entire family. Two days prior to Ratha Saptami on Maagha Masam Shukla Panchami, it is Kodukula Panduga that is a festival for the sons. Perhaps this is the only area in the entire country which has festivals earmarked every year for the Sons and Daughters-in-law.

Those of you who have missed these two occasions in this week or do not follow this tradition may celebrate and enjoy them this weekend! in honour of these important family members.

Let us all take a oath today, SUNDAY, the most beloved day for SUN & SHIVA that we try our best to awake everyday, before Sun Rise and at least witness the Sun which is most healthy for both physical and spiritual aspects. Also let us try our best not to do the following by thought, word or deed at least on SUNDAY -

To awake before the Sun Rise
Not to eat MEAT of any sort
Not to have wife & Husband Sangamam
Listen/chant AITHYAHRIDAYAM
BY OBSERVING THESE FOUR THINGS AT LEAST ON SUNDAY IN THE REST OF OUR REMAINING LIFE
FOR OWN SAKE AND OUR FAMILY AND ANCESTORS
Let us hope and pray that we all will be able to follow these simple things which are in our own control to get the Blessings from UNIVERSAL ENERGY-NAMELY S U N,
SivaRamaKrishna
